Job Description:

Our client an established technology integration organization is seeking an experienced Security Systems Programmer to support access control and CCTV installations across the Houston market. This role is responsible for programming, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting integrated security systems while partnering with project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and configure access control and video surveillance systems, including both hardware and software components
  • Troubleshoot system issues, including programming errors, network connectivity issues, and hardware failures
  • Support project teams during system design and implementation, including recommending hardware and software solutions
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, programming, and project records
  • Travel to job sites as needed to support system installations, commissioning, and project closeout activities
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with project schedules and approved material budgets
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and security system best practices
  • Represent the organization professionally while delivering a high level of customer service
  • Operate a company vehicle as required for site visits and service support

Performance Expectations

  • Security systems delivered fully operational and on schedule
  • Customer sign-off obtained within five days of project completion
  • Materials and equipment available in alignment with project timelines
  • Projects completed within approved material budgets

Education & Minimum Requirements 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting security systems
  • Strong working knowledge of the following platforms: AMAG; Bosch, Open Options, Avigilon
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed
  • Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Use of appropriate PPE, including hard hats and steel-toed boots when required
