Job Description:

Our client, an established technology and integration organization, is seeking an experienced Assistant AV Operations Manager to support the leadership and operational execution of projects across its Audio-Visual Division. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent project delivery, effective scheduling and resource planning, and adherence to operational standards across multiple markets.

The Assistant AV Operations Manager partners closely with operations leadership, branch management, and project management teams to maintain operational alignment, drive project performance, and ensure customer commitments are met. This position also provides leadership and coaching to Project Managers while supporting the divisions operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities


Support the AV Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day project execution across the Audio Visual Division

Lead project management cadence including weekly project management meetings, project reviews, and planning sessions

Ensure consistent application of project management standards and operational processes across all markets

Project Execution and Delivery


Ensure projects launch successfully with proper kickoff planning, scheduling, documentation, and internal handoffs

Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to schedules, milestones, deliverables, and quality standards

Promote strong project closeout practices including documentation and internal project debriefs

Scheduling and Resource Planning


Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation across multiple projects and markets

Partner with branch leadership and field management to optimize technician, engineering, and programming resources

Identify and address potential capacity constraints related to staffing, programming availability, or project timelines

Escalation and Issue Resolution


Serve as a primary escalation point for project execution challenges and customer concerns

Ensure timely resolution of issues while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and customers

Conduct site visits as needed to support complex projects and ensure quality and safety standards are met

Project Performance and Financial Support


Monitor project performance related to labor utilization, schedule adherence, and milestone completion

Support Project Managers in maintaining accurate budgets, forecasts, and change order documentation

Identify operational risks early and partner with leadership to implement corrective actions that support project profitability

Team Leadership and Development


Provide mentorship and guidance to Project Managers and key field personnel

Support performance management through coaching, feedback, and professional development planning

Identify training opportunities and help cultivate future leadership within the division

Organizational Structure
This role operates within a matrix environment.
Reports to: AV Operations Manager
Provides functional leadership to: Project Managers across the AV Division
Collaborates closely with: Branch Managers, Field Leadership, Engineering and Programming teams, Project Administrators, and Sales teams
Project Managers maintain a local reporting relationship with Branch Managers while following division-wide project execution standards.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in Audio Visual installation, project management, or operations
Experience managing multi-project environments and cross-functional teams

Certifications
AVIXA CTS certification required
CTS-I or CTS-D preferred
